Anantnag: There is no shortcut to success and ceaseless hard work with strong determination never goes in vein. No matter how hard your life is, if you have set your goal and make endless efforts to achieve it, then no one can stop you.
This is exactly what it had been like for Sabzar Ahmad Ganie, who cracked the UPSC Examination, results of which were declared on Wednesday. Beating all odds, Sabzar has ranked 628 in the civil service exam in all India level.
Born in a poor family in a remote village Geeboom of south Kashmir’s Kokernag area in Anantnag District, Sabzar had experienced adversity during childhood. However, his parents make everything available to Sabzar and never wanted the financial constraint to be an obstacle in their children’s studies. To give them good education,
Sabzar hails from Geeboon village of Kokernag area about 30 km’s from main town Anantnag where there no cellular network in this modern age.

Talking to Good Morning Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Ganie, father of Sabzar Ahmad said that, I am very happy and excited that my son has notched up this rank coming from a humble background, hailing from a farmer’s family.
25-year-old Sabzar completed his primary schooling from his locality school govt Primary School Geeboom, Kokernag. Sabzar had passed 8th in Govt Middle school Dehruna after that had perused higher classes in a private institution namely SAGM. After clearing Plus Two examination from Govt Higher secondary school Hiller kokernag in 2012. Sabzar had cleared the entrance exam of JKCET in year 2013 and had ranked 36th in state level. After cleared the JKCET exam, Sabzar got a seat in Government Collage of Engineering and Technology Jammu (GCET) for three years course.
In year 2018, Sabzar applied for free coaching in Jamia Milia Islamia Residential coaching Academy in Delhi. The institution is giving free coaching classes for competitive examinations for students belonging to weaker sections amongst educationally backward minority communities.
His main paper at UPSC was political science and international relations (PSIR).
Talking to GMK, Sabzar said that I was disappointed in year 2018 when I was failed in first attempt of IAS Preliminary Exam after that I had decided not to take this exam because of financial problems in the mean time my parents including my elder brother have encouraged and motivated me to take another chance and they have taken everything possible me and finally this year I cracked this exam with ranked 628.
Meanwhile Sabzar is the 2nd person of Kokernag constituency who cracked UPSC civil service exam after Mohd Iqbal Khanday in 1978 batch IAS officer who belonged from Devalgam village in Kokernag area.
Family members, villagers, relatives and people of the entire District have felt proud of his success.
