Till date 1394138 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 29725 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 937 in isolation and 117749 in home surveillance. Besides, 1243753 persons have completed their surveillance period.
On Monday, government advisory exhorted upon the people not to step out of home, unless absolutely necessary. If you have to move out for unavoidable reasons, ensure that you wear a mask and practice social distancing, personal hygiene and frequent hand washing with soap and water.
Masks can make a difference. But they only work to the extent that people wear them around others. When many people refuse to do it, out of selfishness, they give the virus a helping hand.
