Man crushed to death by train in Qazigund

A 60-year-old man was crushed to death by a train in Badragund – Qazigund area of  South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday, officials said.

Officials said that the 60-year-old man was walking along a railway track in Badragund when a moving train crushed him to death. Police sources identified him as Ghulam Nabi Chopan, a resident of Vessu – Qazigund.

The incident shocked the locals at his native village who in large numbers assembled at the house of the deceased and mourned his death.

A police official told  Good Morning Kashmir that inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC have been initiated.
