Low-intensity earthquake jolts Kashmir

A low intensity earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale struck Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday evening, triggering tremors in several parts of the Kashmir Valley.

According to seismic data, the tremor was recorded at a depth of five kilometres, at latitude 34.13°N and longitude 74.59°E.

Residents in parts of Kashmir, including, Baramulla, Srinagar and adjoining areas reported feeling mild tremors. However, there were no immediate reports of loss of life or damage to property.
