The people of Dalipora -Nagam area of Budgam Tuesday staged a protest over what they alleged poor state of functioning of Sub District Hospital (SDH) Nagam.
Locals of the area assembled in front of the hospital and staged a protest demonstration amid shouting slogans against the health department.
They alleged that the condition of the hospital is functioning without the X -Ray facility which has been lying defunct for several months, while the majority of the posts of doctors are lying vacant due to which local people are deprived of proper healthcare.

They also alleged that despite tall claims and assurances by authorities, no concrete step was being taken to improve the healthcare facilities in the hospital.
They also said that no Physician and Endoscopy facilities are available at Sub District hospital.
The residents appealed to the higher authorities to send the doctors as soon as possible and provide the best infrastructure to the hospital so that patients don’t have to suffer more.
