On the eve of Ashura, the 10th day of Muharram, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and recalled his sacrifices.
In a message, the LG said, “The sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions at Karbala, and their steadfast commitment to the universal ideals of justice and human dignity continue to inspire humanity to uphold the values of unity, social harmony, and righteousness.”
He further urged people to reflect on the teachings of Imam Hussain (AS), stating, “On this solemn occasion, let us imbibe the eternal ideals of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and rededicate ourselves to building a just and equitable society.”
Ashura, observed on the 10th of Muharram, marks the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his followers in the Battle of Karbala. The day is commemorated with religious processions, prayers, and reflections on the principles of justice and sacrifice.
