This write up is particularly dedicated to Annes ul Haq, my dear cousin and friend, and to all those young hearts and minds who aim to achieve great things in their lives and look for some inspiration to keep kindling their vigour and to carry on their strifes.
The thought of writing such a piece came to my mind after I watched the movie 12th Fail recently. It is without a doubt a masterpiece, particularly helpful for those who dream to achieve great things in their lives. People who are young and energetic like you can draw many a great lessons from this movie.
One of the greatest inspirations of today’s Indian youth, Dr. Vikas Divyakriti Sir’s presence in the movie gives it a realistic look. His great and wise thoughts have inspired a lot of students throughout the country to achieve their goals by believing in themselves.
The movie is replete with great ideas and teachings which are sufficient to inspire students like you to fight for the right cause by using the time properly to achieve your success.
The movie from its beginning to the end seems like a fight against cheating. Cheating may help the students to clear some lessor board exams but it surely hinders the real growth of a student to face the bigger exams. There is also a message that your cheating goes on chasing you all your life. It affects your proper growth. You can only nullify it’s evil effects by working very hard in the future till you are able delete all the junk it may have created in your career.
Restart is another great message the movie promotes. It uses this keyword as a slogan and always inspires us to restart after every failure. There can be no end for those who dare to achieve great things wholeheartedly. The hard workers achieve great things even if they cannot achieve the particular targets which they might have set for themselves. Those who have the real ambitions to bring about the changes can do so anywhere. It is not necessary that they must attain the highest posts in the country for bringing the change. They can do so even at the grassroots if they are capable and energetic.
The message that you should focus on your excellence rather than your result is again put forward in a beautiful way in the movie.
The characters of Gauri Bhaiya, Pritam Pandey and Shraddha are as important as Manoj Kumar Sharma who is the pivot around whom the story revolves. Sharma would not have become an IPS if these lesser characters would not play their roles properly. Gouri Bhaiya is unable to achieve what he aspired for. He expended all his attempts but couldn’t achieve the goal. Yet he doesn’t surrender. He keeps being an inspiration for others, particularly for the Hero. Pandey plays both a negative as well as a positive role in the movie. Although, he helps the protagonist initially but latter he becomes jealous. But his negativity is also important with the positive character like Gauri bhaiya to bring the proper results because the life we must remember is the mixture of good and bad vibes. Both these forces keep inspiring us to achieve our goals.
Shradha, the opposite character of Manoj Sharma is a brilliantly crafted one. As the saying is famous that true love is always inspiring and not distracting so is the character of Shradha. She is the woman behind the success of the man, that is the Hero. She leads the main character by her own success. Her success does not change her. She does not become mean and self centred as the ordinary people does. That is the example of a great character.
Although, I know you must not be waiting for someone like Shradha to help you in your pursuit but you certainly need others’ help certainly. Consider me as the Gauri bhaiya of the movie, always ready to help you. I have witnessed myself how trying times such preparation and strife brings in one’s life.
I am aware that your health and financial issues keep irritating you but that’s the law of nature. Had life been so easy to live and success been so easy to achieve, how could they have been so attractive and blissful for us? You have to fight harder and harder even in the presence of all these frustrating difficulties. That’s what shall bring real success for you one day.
What if I could not become what I aspired for in the past? I feel happy that I became a teacher and thus God blessed me with the proper opportunity to inspire others. I have learnt an important lesson that our hard work is never wasted. It pays off in one or the other way. Towards the end of the movie Manoj Sharma says that if he is not able to become an IPS officer he would try to become a teacher and would inspire the students to avoid cheating. I have become a teacher and I am trying to inspire the students to hate cheating and love hard work instead.
So dear Annes, don’t let the confidence and the courage decline in you and keep fighting. I wish your success is now around the corner for you. After all, more than the success you are going to remember the present strife and the persistence which is the real meaning of our life.
Keep it up.
