Anantnag: A leopard was found dead in Ashmuqam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag District on Thursday.

Sources told some villagers noticed the dead body of leopard lying in Aishmuqam area of Bijbehara forest division and informed concerned officials.
However, the locals informed the wildlife department, who reached on the spot and took away the animal from the village.
It was not immediately known how the leopard died, the officials said, adding the post-mortem report is awaited.
