Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has been given the additional charge of Jammu and Kashmir during the leave of incumbent LG Manoj Sinha, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said on Tuesday.
According to a presidential communique, Saxena will discharge the functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in addition to his existing responsibilities as Ladakh LG.
“The President of India is pleased to appoint Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, Lt. Governor of Ladakh to discharge the functions of the Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, in addition to his own duties, during the absence, on leave, of Shri Manoj Sinha, Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir,” a communique issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan said.
Sinha has proceeded on leave, following which the President has entrusted Saxena with the additional responsibility until the regular incumbent resumes charge.
