Srinagar: BJP worker Umar Rasheed who was critically wounded in a militant attack in Kulgam on Tuesday evening succumbed to his injuries, taking the toll to two.
Umar, was shot at by militants along with two more BJP workers near the railway crossing at YK Pora area of the district, on Thursday evening.
The trio were shifted to nearby hospital in a critical condition.

“He (Umar) succumbed to his injuries at the hospital,” officials said.
Earlier, BJP’s General Secretary Youth Morcha, Fida Hussain also succumbed his injuries at the hospital.
There have been a series of attacks on BJP workers and leaders in the last few months. The attacks have triggered a spree of resignations from the BJP leaders in many parts of Kashmir.
