Inhabitants of Karan Nagar have appealed to the District administration to repair the link road near Chotta Bazar which is in bad shape.
The inhabitants of the area said that the link road was dotted with potholes and despite repeated reminders the authorities have failed to repair it.
“These roads are very dangerous and many cause fatal accidents. It is winter season and government must repair these roads as soon as possible,” said Gulzar Ahmad, a local resident of the area.
Another resident said that driving two-wheelers or four wheelers on the existing road was fraught with dangers for both the motorist and the pedestrians.
The residents appealed the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to look into the matter.
“We appeal Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to kindly direct the concerned authorities to undertake repairs of this link road,” said Ashiq Ahmad Sodagar, a local resident.
He said the dilapidated condition of the road was not only giving tough time to residents but commuters as well since the area houses a large number of private as well as government offices.
