The finale ceremony, held amidst harsh winter conditions, was graced by Major General Tushar Sharma, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Kilo Force, as the Chief Guest. He was joined by senior officials including Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Ms. Indu Kanwal Chib; Brigadier Hemant Singh Ponwar, VSM, Commander of 3 Sector Rashtriya Rifles; and SSP Bandipora, Mr. Ajaz Zargar, alongside other representatives from the district administration and security forces.

Demonstrating overwhelming public support, the event attracted over 3,000 spectators who braved the cold to support the finalists. This season set a new participation record, with a staggering 2,100 individuals—men, women, and children—engaging in various activities across the programme’s duration, highlighting its growing acceptance and reach.

Launched in 2023 at Wular Vantage Park, Kashmiruk Fankaar has evolved into a premier platform for constructive youth engagement during the winter months. Season III, which ran from December 3 to December 20, 2025, was structured into three distinct phases. The first phase focused on sports camps to foster discipline and teamwork. The second emphasised social awareness and civic responsibility. The final competitive phase showcased cultural talents through singing, dancing, painting, and the traditional craft of Kangri-making.

The grand finale was further electrified by performances from renowned artists, including Bollywood figures Tinu Verma and Mir Sarwar, and popular local talents like Ishfaq Kawa, Nazir Josh, Qayoom Badshah, Saniya Mir, and Simran K, adding warmth and vibrancy to the winter evening.

Army officials underscored that the initiative is “not merely a competition but a bridge of trust between the Army and the people.” It was executed through close collaboration with Padma Shri awardee Faisal Ali Dar and upcoming Bollywood producer from Kashmir,  Sohail Lone.

Reiterating the Army’s commitment to long-term peace and social cohesion, officials stated that such programmes are vital for positively channelling youthful energy towards nation-building and regional development. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the participants’ talents and reinforcing a shared vision for a peaceful, prosperous, and united Kashmir, driven by its disciplined and aspiring youth.
