Inclement Weather: Schools to Remain Closed in Kashmir on April 21

In light of the prevailing inclement weather conditions across the Kashmir Division, authorities have announced the suspension of classwork in all government and private schools on Monday, April 21, 2025.

“In view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions & as a precautionary measure, all the Government and Private Schools of Kashmir Division shall remain closed on the day 21-04-2025. However, all teaching and non teaching staff shall continue to attend their duties as usual,” reads the order issued by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, V K Bidhuri.

The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students amidst the ongoing bad weather. However, the teaching and non-teaching staff of all educational institutions have been directed to attend their duties as usual.

Officials urged the public to stay updated with further announcements and to take necessary precautions during the adverse weather conditions.
