“The road is in shambles for a very long time. The road has craters and during rains, driving becomes difficult and risky,” said Farooq Ahmed, a local resident.

“The road is dotted with huge potholes and there seems nobody in the administration who would address this problem,” he added.

Another resident, Danish Rashid, said that driving two-wheelers or four-wheelers on the existing road was fraught with dangers for both the motorist and pedestrians.

“Patients and students are the worst hit and they often reach their destinations late causing inconvenience to the commuters,” he said.

Locals said that they are facing tremendous hardships due to the bad condition of the road.

“This road is very dangerous and several times cause fatal accidents. As the winter season is approaching, the government must repair these roads as soon as possible,” locals said.

Locals claimed that the road presents a pathetic look, craving for the attention of the government. The authorities are not giving ears to our demands.

The residents appealed to Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha led administration and Chief Engineer R&B to look into the issue, so that problem will be resolved as soon as possible.
