Illegal Hoardings

Nowadays, advertisement hoardings and banners are widely seen on roads in the valley. Various banners are displayed to attract consumers for the promotion of trade, business, etc. The hoardings are of beautiful designs, colors, and pictures. Even that, actors, models, and sportspersons are seen on many hoardings to captivate consumers. Though, advertisement is not a bad thing but today many companies, business groups, and even political parties install illegal hoardings to take advantage of the public. The information which is displayed on some hoardings is harmful and inappropriate. Moreover, the product or advertisement can mislead people in a bigger way. People can’t differentiate between legal and hoardings. They can use the product of an illegal banner or follow an incorrect slogan. Even political advertisements can create misunderstandings among people. The protest hoardings can result in misinformation and rivalries among people. Earlier banners were only used in urban cities but with time they are seen in rural areas too. Today large numbers of hoardings confuse the general public as to follow the advertisement or not. The Slogans, symbols, and logos on these hoardings mislead the commuters. People just get allured by the advertisements and follow the brands without having proper knowledge. Some hoardings carry incorrect messages i.e the tobacco hoardings push youngsters towards smoking. In the same way, there are thousands of banners which are dangerous for the common people. The advertisements may look eye catchy but fool people with the name of false advertisements and the public blindly trusts them. While traveling, children can have a bad impact of obscene hoardings. These banners are so appealing that it can grab the drivers attention in no time. Many accidents have taken place because the drivers’ mind gets diverted toward advertisements and not to driving. We request the concerned authorities to remove illegal hoardings so that the citizens are not misguided through false advertisements and accidents don’t take place in the near future.
