The residents of Hardushoora, Rawathpora and Heer area of north Kashmir,s Tangmarg on Tuesday expressed dismay over the dilapidated condition of the inner link road from Hardushoora to Rawathpora.
Locals of the area said that a 1 kilometers long road link from Hardushoora to Jamia Masjid Rawathpora is completely dilapidated and the concerned authorities have been turning a blind eye towards it and have not taken any development works or resurfacing of the road, causing inconvenience to commuters.
”This was the road built decades ago, and since then it is a victim of official neglect,” said Yawar Ahmad Khan, a local resident of Hardushoora.
The residents speaking to Good Morning Kashmir said that, despite passing decades, the concerned department has not repaired this inner link road.
Locals said that whenever it rains the tyres of the vehicles get trapped in the muddy road which causes inconvenience.
They said that the department has failed to macadamize the 1 km road for several years now.
In the past, we had approached the authorities demanding macadamization of the inner link road but despite promises, no work was done”, said Saqib Ahmad, a local resident.
Meanwhile, locals urge the administration to repair and macadamize the road on priority.
