Haji Syed Salman Chishty, renowned as Gaddi Nashin of Dargah Ajmer Sharif and Chairman of Chishty Foundation in India, has been invited to participate in the largest international religious gathering ever hosted by the Asian continent. The conference, titled “Promoting Interfaith Harmony among Followers of Religions,” is scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
The event, organized in collaboration between the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Sri Anwar Ibrahim, and the Muslim World League (MWL) under the leadership of Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, aims to bring together approximately 2,000 religious and intellectual figures from 57 countries.
Themes to be discussed during the conference include pluralism, tolerance, moderation, education, building bridges, and inclusive commonalities. With a focus on highlighting the role of religion in promoting global peace and fostering solidarity among nations, the gathering seeks to explore avenues for civilizational cooperation.
One of the key objectives of the conference is to launch initiatives derived from the Charter of Makkah, as well as to underscore the significance of noble religious values in contemporary society.
