Gunfight starts in south Kashmir

A gunfight rages between terrorists and security forces in Padgampora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.

Reports reaching Good Morning Kashmir that a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Padgampora area of the district.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.

Encounter has started at Padgampora Awantipora in Pulwama district. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.@JmuKmrPolice

A senior police officer also confirmed to GMK about exchange of firing between terrorists and government forces.
