Gunfight rages in south Kashmir

Kulgam: Gunfight breaks out between militants and goverment forces in Khur village in Damhal Hanjipora area of Kulgam district on Monday morning.

Sources told GMK that a joint team of Police, army’s 34RR, CRPF and Kulgam police launched cordon search operation in Khur village in Damhal Hanjipora area of Kulgam district.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.

Two to three militants are believed to be trapped and operation was under way when this report was filled
