Gunfight rages in north Kashmir’s Sopore

An encounter broke out between governmentforces and militants at Nathipora – Sopore area of n north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Official sources said that, a joint team of government forces launched search operation in Nathipora area  of the town after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

As the joint team of government forces cordoned off the suspected house, the militants fired upon the forces party, thus triggering off an gunfight, he said.
