A gunfight broke out between government forces and militants in Brath Seloo village of Sopore area in Baramulla district on Sunday evening.
A senior police official said after receiving specific information about presence of militants in the area a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles, police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation.
However, as the joint team of forces zeroed-in on a house where militants are believed to be trapped, the militants fired upon the forces’ team, triggering the gunfight.
