Srinagar: Gunfight breaks out between militants and goverment forces in Kapran-Verinag forests of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.
Official sources told Good Morning Kashmir that, a joint team of Police, Army’s 02 Para , CRPF and police launched cordon search operation in Verinag forests of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.
“Encounter has started in the forest area of Verinag-Kapran area of Anantnag. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” tweeted Kashmir Police.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.
Meanwhile authorities suspended internet services in area as a precautionary measure in wake of this encounter.
