Srinagar: Two passengers of an GoAir flight were left aggrieved today at the Srinagar Airport here after the airline denied boarding to them for allegedly not being on time at the boarding gate.A
According to passengers the Srinagar based travel agency (Musaib Travels) did not issued them boarding passes, due to which they were not allowed to travel, despite reaching the airport on time.
” The travel agency, from where we purchased tickets, didn’t send us any SMS or mail of boarding passes, despite their being on time in the Airport premises,” said Aijaz Wani, one the passenger who was not given boarding pass by the travel agency.
He also claimed that the travel agency staff misbehaved with him, after conveying them that they are not being allowed to travel on said airline.

The duo passengers allege that no effort was made by the said travel agency to compensate them by arranging for their travel in the next scheduled flight to Delhi.
“We were put to lot of mental agony and inconvenience as I was going to attend a important meeting in Delhi,” said another passenger Mohd Shafi. Adding that the travel agency should immediately refund us our amount.
When contacted the, Srinagar based travel agency (Musaib Travels), from whom the duo passenger had purchased the tickets told Good Morning Kashmir that the passengers as per the Airline reached airport a bit late.
“After receiving call from the passengers, we immediately contacted the airline, however they informed us that the passenger reached airport a bit late, which is not our fault” they added.
When asked why boarding passes where not issued to duo passengers on time, they refused to comment.
Good Morning Kashmir called the Airline three times, but received no response.
The passengers concerned who GMK spoke to denied the allegation by travel agent. One of them, Mohd Shafi got angry on hearing what the agent had to say. He said ” this is a lie and the travel agency has cheated us. I will file a complaint to find out the legal steps.
Meanwhile, the passengers appealed the concerned authority to take action against the travel agency for not issuing them boarding passes, despite no fault on their part.
