On Tuesday, Media men were thrashed while covering Muharram procession at Jahangir Chowk. Good Morning Kashmir Vide journalist Faizan Mir was also injured after being beaten ‘ruthlessly’ while performing professional duties.
Faizan said that the nearly two dozen journalists were waiting for a procession to reach Jehangir Chowk.
“When the procession reached Jehangir Chowk, some mourners were detained and that was when we were beaten up brutally,” he said.
Faizan, who was also beaten up by the policemen, said the police officer abused most of us to which we objected.
