Geelani talks to Sehrai, condoles the demise of his son

Srinagar: Two days after the killing of top Hizb Commander Junaid Sehrai, elderly pro-freedom leader Syed Ali Geelani expressed solidarity with Hurriyat Chairman Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai.

Junaid was the youngest son of Hurriyat leader Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai who was killed along with his associate in Kanimazar Nawakadal area of Srinagar city.

Sources were quoted as saying by  local  news agency KNT that Geelani called Sehrai over phone and condoled the demise of his son. He expressed solidarity with the family and prayed for the departed soul.

Both the leaders interacted for over 10 minutes over phone.

Geelan is facing house detention since 2014 at his Hyderpora bases residence.
