Srinagar : A personal security officer [PSO], injured in a attack on a BJP leader in Central Kashmir’s Gnderbal district, succumbed to his injuries here in Srinagar hospital, official sources said.
Official sources said that the police constable identified as Mohd Altaf, who was injured in the attack at Nunar area of the district, succumbed.
Altaf was injured after militants fired upon Gh Qadir, a BJP leader, in Ganderbal district.

While Qadir escaped the attack unhurt, his PSO [Altaf] was injured in the incident, who later succumbed to his injuries here in Srinagar hospital, sources added.
“Terrorist fired upon one BJP worker at Nunar Ganderbal. He is safe, howerever, his one PSO was injured in this incident. One unidentified terrorist got killed in PSOs retaliation,” tweeted Kashmir Police.
