Srinagar: Applicant’s of SRO cases under forest department on Sunday urged Lt Governor led administration to fulfill their long pending demand of SRO- 43.
The candidates said that they are running pillar to post to get their long pending demand redressed, but nothing has happened, despite time to time promises made by the higher-ups.
“We have been suffering from last couple of years as all of us belong to poor families,” said Shahid Ali Wani, one of the applicant of SRO-43.
Observing that the cases are from one to nearly three years old, the applicants said that the General Administration Department, seems no more concerned to review their SRO-43 cases pending in their department.
“It’s very hard for us to fulfill the basic needs of our families. As their are no other sources of income in our families. Our case has gone through 4 darbar moves but could not get solved,” said another applicant, Waheed Ur Rehman of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
The employees urged honble Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, to redress their demand, adding that
they went to many officers and leaders with their grievance but nobody listened to them.
Sarita Chowhan, Commissioner Secretary forests when contacted said that, ” We are reviewing SRO cases regularly, it’s a routine process, we give due important to such cases.”
Asked, when will be their long pending demand redressed, Sarita Chowhan said that the department is examining the cases. The (candidates) should visit the concerned office to check the status of their cases, she added.
Meanwhile, the applicants said they wanted the Jammu and Kashmir government to intervene in the matter. “We want the government’s help to redress our grevience as soon as possible to bring peace and prosperity in our lives.”
