This writeup is dedicated to all the youth who want to contribute themselves for the good and welfare of the society. Such determined and powerful youth are willing to give tireless services, huge sacrifices to eliminate evils from the society. They are willing to explore themselves for sacred missions and causes.
To begin with the quote of a famous socialist Rousseau, he said and I quote, ” Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. ” It is unfortunate to mention here that our society and it’s social setup viz administration is designed as per the fundamentals of the above mentioned quotation. The distribution of power irrespective of any class of administration is purely designed on corruption. The society in which we live is governed on the principles of mere corruption. Corruption is seen everywhere and when power mingles with it, it forms power corruption. A giant cruel system is it’s trend and subject matter. To raise voice against it, our society needs youth of determined class and gesture. To free ourselves from this menace, malice and evil. We must unite ourselves and set a foundation for a sound and just social system. This is only possible when we discover our Self. In other words let me quote the great Sir Mohammed Iqbal RA, “Apne Mann mein doob kar pavja suraagi zindagi, Tou agar mera nahi banta na bann, par apna tou bann. “
Knowing yourself or discovering one’s own self is very important. In other words “discovery of self” means discovering all the secrets of the world. To explore all the miracles of the world, youth must develop real consciousness. The youth is the real power of our nation. They must know how to explore themselves and know themselves. To explore self, one must develop strong willpower and positive energy within.
Self consciousness is one of the most important consignments in one’s life. The one who is aware of his self consciousness is capable of exploring many treasures in life. Literally speaking, events and odds, pros and cons, sadness and sorrows are the part and parcel of life. But knowing one’s own self can resist all of them. We can handle every single miserable situation with the help of our approaches and it is merely a neat and clean part of our self and behavior. Self recognition can help us in achieving great heights. People who are unaware of themselves are slaves of others and can never be the part of their own decision making. They are just like animals who are dependent on their owners. The owner drags them wherever he wants them and they follow by closing their eyes. Such people prove to be cowardice and self insufficient, merely captivated forever. The subjugation is their final destination. In other words, let me quote something like this “Unrecognized self is always caged and a slave of others”. It can never find peace of mind because of slavery and subjugation. That is why, recognition of one’s own self is really meaningful and full of worth.

Let me inform you all with the fact that most of the great men of the world were born free, here free I meant to say men who endure positive freedom. Even though they felt most of the tough times in their lives. But they never sell themselves. They were those men who never compromised with the system of intolerance where people’s self identification is being tormented and captivated. Such people are really the hallmark of truthfulness and justice. They are our real heroes and inspirations. This is all because they have recognized their inner conscience and self. Such people are the icon of humanity and peace. But with the passage of time, people started losing their self identities. There might have been various reasons for this sort of lost identifications, but most importantly one of the biggest reasons is rapidly growing materialism. Material approach is one of the biggest reasons due to which people started to sell off their souls for some pennies. This is being done via different sorts of affairs. In other words, Indulging in materialism means elimination and eradication of selflessness. Materialism has given a tough challenge to our behaviors. It has changed us but in a negative manner and made us slave of such a system where honesty, truthfulness and inner peace has no value and worth. It only works on the principles of id and evil.
Unfortunately, the present age in which we live is the age of mere materialism. Where every decision works on the principles of material aspects. Most unfortunate is that, from the beginning we have been taught of cut throat competitions, a mere materialism. In which human values hardly matter. Think, what catastrophe is going to take place in such an education sector where youth is being prepared to cut others and to move forward. In such a system, jackals will take birth irrespective of humans. The human values, goodness and justice will never prevail but definitely savagery shall. This is the biggest tragedy happening around us and Alas we all are its followers silently watching and enjoying at the safe shores. Recognition of “Self” is only meaningful when it is endowed with the meaningful gifts of morality and mercy. In other words, to know one’s own self. One must follow the basic fundamentals of life which includes honesty, truthfulness, love, peace, goodness and so on. Such recognition of self never compromises
with an immoral life even if the subject may have to face problems or hardships. It works on the principles of dedication, well being and welfare of all where faults and errors could never enter.
Finally, to sum up this literary piece, I would like to share some more beautiful lines. The “recognition of self” comes from going through many hard trials and tests. Nevertheless, you may achieve it viz sitting at the safer zones. In contrast to this one must have to be in the harder zone. One must have to taste the bitterness of life so as to achieve it. Its main enemy, which is to be faced, is a tormentor of cruelty. If you survived before them, you may definitely succeed in knowing and recognizing yourself. Moreover, the esteem of power is its biggest enemy. If the esteem of power entered you, it will tear you into pieces and a person will lose all his abilities, self identities and consciousness.
So, we all should pray to Almighty Allah to bestow us with such “Self recognition” which is dear to Him.
