Let me chant and quote a beautiful wise saying “Bachay Mann K Sachay ” which means (children are true to heart). They are innocent and the most adorable human resource on the planet earth. Children are pure by heart, they don’t know what is good and what is bad. They are very pious souls. The way you will mould them they will mould. Their innocent brains are just like plain blank papers and whatever we wrote on them will shape them in future. The parents, society and teachers play an immense role in shaping their future destiny.
Children’s day is celebrated on the 20th of November every year all around the world but here in our motherland ‘India’, we celebrate it on the 14th of November every year in order to commemorate our freedom fighter, the forehead of India’s independence, the legendary personality and first Prime Minister of independent India, Pandith Jawaharlal Nehru. Pandith Nehru was very much attached to children, he believed that these innocent flowers are the great future of the nation. Children’s also liked, adored and respected him very much so they used to call him “CHACHA NEHRU”. He was a well-known personality of India. This day is actually the birthday of this great leader, as he was very much attached to and fond of children. So it was decided by our govt. to celebrate this day as children’s day every year to pay homage to this great leader. He used to spend most of his valuable time with children because he believed that children are the pillars of a nation. If they are moulded, nurtured, guided and trained in the right way, then nobody can defeat a such nation. Children are the future of our nation and to build our future nation more intelligent, active, logistic, practical and lovable is the duty of our teachers. They should know how to utilize the children for national prosperity and welfare. Today’s Children are tomorrow’s backbone of a good nation.
On the auspicious occasion of Children’s Day 2022, every school was busy celebrating children’s day so was our school as well. As a teacher, it gave me immense pleasure to be a part of such a grand ceremony. I was so happy to see all the teachers busy making arrangements for children’s day. All the teachers and children participated wholeheartedly in this great celebration. During the occasion, I witnessed all the teachers of my school praising, admiring students and advising them to focus on their studies so as to make a better future. If the future of the students is bright, the future of the nation will be automatically bright and shine. Children are precious treasures, innocent souls and the most adorable humans on the planet earth. They are innocent and pious-hearted. They are the flowers of paradise quoted by one of my colleagues while delivering lecture on the said occasion. I personally admit that at a young age children should be treated nicely and should be nurtured and moulded in the right way so that they should not feel that their childhood had gone in vain.
Teachers play an eminent role in developing a child. Teachers and parents are the main characters in the development of a child’s life. Childhood is a very precious time in human beings’ life as this is the stage where the base of a child is shaped and the wings of success is given to them. If they are turned towards the right path, they will follow that path their whole life. Whatever a person learns at this age never forgets. So being teachers and mentors, we should always encourage these innocent souls towards betterment. We should not discourage them. Any kind of discouragement at this age to them shall prove a great downfall to humanity.
I would like to quote here some famous verses of Allama Iqbal RA; عقابی روح جب بیدار ہوتی ہے جوانوں میںنظر آتی ہے اس کو اپنی مزنل آسمانوں. If the teachers will guide these innocent souls towards the right path, our nation will achieve unending progress. Children are the pillars of future generations. If we want them strong then we shouldn’t be careless in nurturing them and in guiding them. Children are the precious gifts of God, so we should handle them with care. Along with imparting them with worldly education or training them for competitive exams, we should also impart them with moral education. Teachers should teach them morals so that they should inculcate them in their actual lives. If we want ourselves to be real nation-builders then we should teach them the lessons of goodness and humanity. My dear fellow teachers this is an earnest request to all of you that when you go into a classroom for delivering lessons, always kept one thing in mind you are teaching your own children. If you taught them sincerely, then one day your children will also be repaid with the same.
I myself being a teacher and a columnist felt a great need to channelise our energy and power for creating laurels and gems for the nation. Our children are no less than miracles. They have great potential to carry out pious missions and can achieve great heights as well. Our children are the real heroes of our future generation. We should give wings to them to explore every field. Let us pledge that we shall dedicate ourselves for the sake of our children. So that our future generation will rise and shine.
