“Today in Sumkachbal locality in Khanyar, I purchased peas (Mator) for Rs 100 per kg and half of it was rotten. Where the major roads are put under lockdown interior lanes see hoarding by these unscrupulous without any fear of God or authorities, ” Said Muhammad Sajad a resident.
When the administration has been busy in tackling the pandemic butchers, chicken traders and vegetable vendors are looting already beleaguered customers.
Mutton cost presently is more Rs 600 per kg for third class mutton available. “I for my family buy mutton from the butcher known to me for almost thirty years give me so-called good quality mutton @ 650 per kg while making mince meat of govt approved rate list” Said Lateef Ahmad Shah of Zaina Kadal.
