Eight miscreants who allegedly infiltrated a peaceful student protest and indulged in vandalism and stone-pelting have been arrested following night-long raids, police said on Tuesday.
The miscreants tried to exploit the situation at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School to create law and order problems, they said.
“Twenty-five other individuals have also been identified and efforts are underway to apprehend them at the earliest,” a police spokesperson said.
