Eid is a celebration of joy. The sacrificial animal is symbolic of our love for the almighty. It is emblematic of our resolve to sacrifice our most cherished possessions for the love of almighty. Most importantly, it is time for a get together with the entire family and relatives. Irrespective of our social status we must greet, huge and exhibit love for all the people who enter place of worship on the day of Eid.
Eid has a message of peace and economic equality. By distributing meat to every one of our friends and relatives we ensure no one goes hungry on the auspicious day of Eid. This is a great human deed and emblematic of the spirit of humanity.
However, a few things need to be kept in mind. First and foremost, we must avoid uploading videos of animal slaughter on social media. This is a private occassion and a private deed. No need to go public about it. Besides, there would be punishment in case anyone indulges in this unnecessary activity. This has been clearly stated in various government communications over the period of last one month. This must be followed in letter and spirit without exception.
Also we tend to leave offal and other internal organs on roadside, banks of rivers and wherever we fee feasible. It is a sacrificial animal. We have to bury every unused organ to prevent feral dogs and other animals feasting on it. This is also one of our fundamental duties.
Keeping these basic hygiene things in mind we must once again wish everyone on this holy occasion. Please do not forget to spread love, peace and prosperity on this holy occasion.
