Following the directions of SSP Kupwara, Shobhit Saxena, DO Awoora Ayush Sharma, has launched a vigorous crackdown on drug peddlers and consumers in the area.
Taking swift action, Sharma has detained several accused individuals living in the jurisdiction of police post Awoora,Zirhama,Marhama, Gujjarpatti in Kupwara district.
Sharma expressed his commitment to eradicating the menace of drugs from the area, stating, “Our mission is not just about enforcement, but also about rehabilitation. We aim to create a safer and healthier environment for all residents.”

In past Kupwara police have booked several dozen drug peddlers under stringent laws to prevent gullible youth from falling prey to drug menace.
