Day after dead crows and chicken were spotted in Allachizab village of north Kashmir’s Kupwara District on Sunday, a team of the concerned department on Monday reached the village to spray disinfectants and collect dead birds for sampling.
The BVO said that it was premature to establish whether there were symptoms of Avian Influenza in the dead chicken and birds in the village and can be established only after testing of the samples taken.
“As a precautionary measure we made an extensive spray of disinfectants in the village to prevent the spread of influenza if any and also collected dead birds for sampling,” said Block Veterinary Officer, Bashir Ahmad.
