Family alleged authorities of “Medical Negligence“
Srinagar: Nocturnal protests sparked at District Hospital Budgam, following the death of Haseena Bano wife of Gh Hassan Malik a 34 year old lady of Central Kashmir’s Labertal Budgam, whose family alleged of “Medical Negligence”.
“Haseena was shifted to the hospital for delivery a day before, and on Wednesday around 11:00 am to 1:00 pm she underwent a major surgery giving birth to a baby boy” said Ashiq Hussain a relative.
“Soon after shifting to the ward for some couple of hours, she was again taken to the theatre which created chaos among us,
when the condition of the patient deteriorated the authorities referred us of shifting the patient to the srinagar when she was almost died” he reveled.
Another relative of the patient said, “No sooner the dead body reached the village, the Medical team of the hospital visitied the family assuring the family of doing their “best” and justifying their stand. What lead to the doctors to visit the deceased family for justification and saying sorry, which further added to the suspicion of the family and the people,” he said.
This is wholly and solly “medical negligence” of the staff which lead to the death of the patient, said the family members of deceased lady.
Family demanding inquiry in the case, has appealed the concerned authorities of taking immediate action against the carefree approach of the medical staff. The family accused the hospital authorities of “medical negligence”, while as the doctor, who operated upon the lady said they did their “best.”
Medical Superintendent, Dr Rafiq Ahmad said that “The woman died after her condition deteriorated due to “pulmonary thrombo embolism. ”
