People who think that their daughter is a burden to father, then they really need to come out of their fake world. In olden times the birth of a girl child was considered a bad omen for society. The girl was disliked, neglected, and tortured by the family. The extent of hatred was that the ignorant people found peace in burying their daughters alive. It was Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) who changed the thinking of people and eradicated this evil practice by making uncouth people realize the value of a woman. The holy Quran gives a special status to women that no one can snatch from them. It is quite unfortunate and even heartbreaking that antagonism for a girl child is continuing even today. Notably, cases of domestic violence are on rise, and women are being brutally killed by their in-laws. After receiving heart-wrenching news of their daughter being killed, the family breaks down. Earlier the literacy rate was low which made people ignorant but today a maximum number of people are literate then why this evil still exists? When a girl child is born to the parents, they feed her in a best possible way. At the age of 3-5, they teach her how to walk and not fall. Showering her best toys, dolls, and kitchen sets whatsoever.
Parents sacrifice their expenses just to provide their best education in school. Getting her books, pencils notebooks, bags, etc just to fulfill her dream. Finally, she turns into a successful woman after so much hard work of parents. Lastly, the target of the parents is the betrothal of his daughter to a good man. Parents try to choose a loyal partner for their beloved daughter. In her journey, they stand by her like a shadow and when she moves out of her father’s house, she leaves everything dear to her just to adjust in different environments and people who are strangers but alas! one-day misfortune happens which takes away all her peace and happiness.
Everything changes for her, the ear pressures she has to go through are just unbearable. Earlier she was treated as a princess in her parent’s home, but now she sometimes becomes a puppet in the hands of her in-laws. A father goes to every extent just to keep his piece of heart happy and secure but one day they receive the heartbreaking news that their daughter has become a victim of this curse. The Administration should keep close vigor on this issue and stern action should be taken against the culprits.
