Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Friday reported 697 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 312 from Jammu division and 385 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 86754.
Also 08 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 05 from Jammu division and 03 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover, 838 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 381 from Jammu Division and 457 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 86754 positive cases, 8909 are Active Positive, 76479 have recovered and 1366 have died; 450 in Jammu division and 916 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 1952850 test results available, 1866096 samples have been tested as negative till October 16, 2020.
Till date 623633 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 24165 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 8909 in isolation and 50768 in home surveillance. Besides, 538425 persons have completed their surveillance period.
