New Delhi: India on Tuesday added 37,148 new cases, taking the its total count to 11,55,191. The toll rose by 587 to 28,084. Total active cases are now more than 4 lakh.
Till Monday evening JK reports 751 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 240 from Jammu division and 511 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 14650. Also 10 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 01 from Jammu division and 09 from Kashmir Division on Monday.
Govt said that out of 518029 test results available, 503379 samples have been tested as negative till July 20, 2020.
Additionally, till date 331954 travelers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been enlisted for surveillance which included 37885 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 13 in Hospital Quarantine, 6122 in hospital isolation and 42732 under home surveillance. Besides, 244948 persons have completed their surveillance period.

The total 14650 positive cases in J&K 3449 have been reported as travelers while 11201 as others.
Experts say, best way to protect themselves from COVID-19 is by maintaining physical distance of at least 2 metre from others, frequently cleaning hands with an alcohol based hand sanitizer or washing them with soap and water and following good respiratory etiquette and hygiene.
The global coronavirus count is now over 1.46 crore, and the toll has crossed 6.09 lakh, according to the Johns Hopkins University. More than 82.2 lakh people have recovered so far.
