Cop among two arrested with drugs in north Kashmir

A police officer among two alleged drug peddlers were arrested in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said on Friday.

Reports said that a police team from Police Station Boniyar, led by SHO PS Boniyar and under the supervision of SDPO Uri, conducted a checkpoint operation at Boniyar, Baramulla. They intercepted two individuals identified as Sajad Hussain Qureshi, the son of Nazir Ahmad Qureshi, a resident of Bandi Uri, and Nadeem Ahmad Awan, the son of Mohd Hussain and a resident of Gingal Uri.
