Srinagar: A court in south Kashmir has rejected bail plea of a slain militants mother, booked under under Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
The mother of slain militant (Tausif Sheikh), Naseema Bano, a resident of Rampur village of Kulgam district was booked earlier for posing with a gun with her slain son, who was killed in a gunfight in Shopian in year 2018, and is also accused of her involvement in recruiting two youth in militant ranks.
A special judge, after hearing the arguments rejected the bail application of detained Naseema Bano.
“The application being devoid of any merit is rejected. Application is accordingly disposed of,” the court said.
However, the court directed police to provide better treatment to detained Naseema Bano.
