Army soldier who was critically injured in Shopian gunfight, succumbs

Army soldier who was critically injured in a gunfight last week with government forces in Kanigam area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district succumbed today here in Srinagar Hospital.

Official sources said that the army soldier who was critically during encounter yesterday succumbed today at Army’s 92 Base hospital here in Srinagar.

The official identified him as Anil Tomar of 44-RR.

Earlier, On Dec 26, Two soldiers were injured while as  local Al-Badr militants were killed in the said gunfight.
