With experts crediting the country’s robust vaccination drive and timely Covid-19 measures behind preventing a catastrophic turn of events as witnessed in the second wave, there might be another wave on the horizon as various regions of the world see a spike in infections. Covid-19 is such a dreaded word and we just want it to end somehow. We want to say our goodbyes to it as soon as possible. A good time has been wasted. The economy of the entire world has hit a rock bottom. The social fabric is also on the verge of collapsing. The education sector reopened recently, however requires a herculean effort to be pulled up to its former position. While the IIT-Kanpur study had predicted July as the another peak of Covid-19 in India. We can say we’re not there yet. For example, China, which had to a large extent contained Covid-19 is back in the news as the cases are increasing with every passing hour.

We should not let the SOPs ease, the way people are doing nowadays. Definitely, we are doing well, at least comparatively well, in Jammu and Kashmir, but at the same time we don’t have to take SOPs lightly. Let us adopt strict social distancing measures. Strict discipline for a few months would ensure we win a decisive battle against Covid-19. Nothing less would do.
