The residents of Mohalla Lolabi, Gujjerbasti said that the existing 63 KVA transformer often develops technical snag due to which inhabitants are suffering.

“Cluster of houses are connected to this single low-intensity transformer that cannot take the load due to which the transformer gets damaged frequently,” said, Yousuf Awan, a local resident.

They said that since the last 6 years they have been taking up the issue with the concerned officials but to no avail

“We are facing a lot of adversities. We have to walk out of our houses at midnight to fix the tripped fuse whenever the electricity goes off. It can get quite dangerous for the common man as they have no idea about it,” said, Javed Ahmad Khatana, another local resident.

We have constantly requested the concerned department to provide us a high-intensity transformer but they are not paying any attention to our demands, locals said.

The locals demanded that government must look into the matter at an earliest and upgrade the existing transformer from 63 KVA to 250 KVA.

They demanded personal intervention of Chief Engineer PDD and concerned Executive Engineer in this regard.
