Social activist Aijaz Ahmad Dar stated on Saturday that 55 lakhs were released for the construction of the Mini Super Bazar; however, it has not been completed properly as it should have been. Therefore, the intervention of the concerned authorities is crucial.
He emphasized that the money belonging to the government is, in fact, the people’s money. When the government undertakes projects for the people, they should be executed properly and completed in a satisfactory manner, rather than being left incomplete and inaugurated, which misleads the public.
He appealed to the administration and the MLAs of the Sopore constituency Irshad Rasool Kar, MLA Wagoora-Kreeri Constituency Irfan Hafeez Lone to intervene regarding the Mini Super Bazar in Tarzoo, so that the people are not misled. He stressed that the government’s commitments should be fulfilled properly if they are intended for the public.
Aijaz further stated that we were very happy because this demand was fulfilled after 20 years; however, at the same time, we were deeply disheartened that the authorities did not complete it properly.
He said that this Super Bazar in Tarzoo would be beneficial not only for the residents of Tarzoo but also for many villages nearby.
Pertinently, Earlier this week Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa chaired the District-Level Cooperative Development Committee meeting, where several key initiatives were approved as part of the International Year of Cooperation.
The approved initiatives include the establishment of Mini Superbazar at Tarzoo and Pattan, formation of Model Society at Cooperative Marketing Society Sopore which would include an Artisan Village, Cold Storage Facilities, Food Processing Units, Gym Centers and Community library & Marriage Hall amongst other projects.
