A woman is the strongest employee of her house. She has to play different characters to make her family happy and content. Right from cleaning the house, to cooking food and cleaning utensils a woman is on her toes 24/7. It is a mother who is responsible for the upbringing of her children as well as educating them morally. When children do good work, the father is praised but as soon as they commit mistakes, mothers are held responsible. Whether the woman is literate or illiterate she keeps struggling in making her children the best version. A lady sacrifices her health, wealth, and time for her home. She neglects her brilliance for the sake of her family. Women rarely think about themselves because they are too absorbed in caring for others. At the end of the day, they are not shown respect and appreciation that is what hurts them the most. It is unfortunate that women are not understood well. Their emotional side is often neglected. They feel shy and hide their problems in fear that how society may think. This quietness becomes dangerous for their future. At present times many incidents have happened in the valley. Every day we hear cases of sexual harassment, eve-teasing, and domestic violence. Even Underage girls are harassed in public. The first unbelievable incident which broke all hearts is when a young lady Arifa was chopped into several pieces by a cruel man. This is an indicator of how few people are infecting the valley with their vicious intentions. Some people have crossed every limit to hurt others. It is shame that Kashmir which was known for brotherhood has to see these days. Though we keep talking about women’s rights and equality it is limited to books only. In reality, the condition of women is not good. Men in the past were modest and kind. They were taught to respect women but the new generation lacks all aspects. They don’t know how to exactly treat a woman. Newspapers, magazines, and tv channels put lots of content on women’s empowerment. Millions of people read and forget about it the other day. We request mothers to teach their sons at a very early age. This will bring positive changes in society and women will be safe everywhere.
