The Ecotourism Society of Kashmir extends its heartfelt appreciation and congratulations to the divisional administration, with special commendation to Director Tourism Kashmir, for the recent decision to abolish airport arrival passes.
For years, stakeholders within the tourism industry have voiced concerns over the requirement of airport arrival passes for receiving tourists at the Srinagar international airport, citing the unnecessary inconvenience it posed to tourists visiting the valley. Sameer Baktoo, President of the Ecotourism Society of Kashmir, emphasized the significance of this decision, stating, “We commend the milestone and historic decision taken by the Director of Tourism Kashmir. This was a very long pending demand and this will really help a lot and will improve customer service as we have late night flights arrival as well, arriving on Srinagar airport now.”
The abolition of airport arrival passes marks a crucial step towards enhancing the tourist experience in the region. By eliminating this requirement, visitors will now enjoy smoother arrivals at Srinagar airport, particularly those arriving on late-night flights. This decision aligns with the Ecotourism Society of Kashmir’s commitment to promoting sustainable and hassle-free tourism in the picturesque valley.
The Ecotourism Society of Kashmir looks forward to further collaborative efforts with the administration to foster a thriving and sustainable tourism ecosystem in the region.
