A family from south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday accused the hospital authorities of administering expired “Monocef” injection to their infant.
The family alleged that the nurses at the district hospital Shopian have been giving their 5 -year-old daughter expired injections since past four days.
“My daughter was given expired “Monocef” injection from past four days, she is battling for life,” said Iqbal Kataria, father of 5-year-old Bazila.

Kataria said that strict action should be taken against the concerned staff for administering expired medicines intravenously to his infant.
Chief Medical Officer, Shopian, Ramesha Malla told Good Morning Kashmir that strict action will be taken against the doctors as well as nurses guilty.
“A committee has been constituted to enquire the matter, even the nurse who had given the injection to the girl has been suspended,” Malla said.
