Four years back, foundation stone was laid for the construction of Primary Health Centre (PHC) Khore, Sheerabad, but it is yet to be completed, showing the indifferent attitude of the authorities.

“The work has been stopped many times in the past few years. If the work continues at snail’s pace it seems it may take many years to complete. We approached the concerned authorities many times and asked them to expedite work, but our repeated pleas have fallen on deaf ears,” said Ashiq Hussain Mir, Deputy Sarpanch of the village.

Not only thousands of people living in the area are facing immense hardships, but the medicos working in hospital also complain of inconvenience due to space constraints.

“How come it is possible for medicos to work in a damaged building? How can patients be treated owing to space problems,” Mir said.

“Except for first aid locals are forced to visit Sub District Hospital (SDH), Pattan for every minor ailment,” the locals rued.

They requested higher ups to look into the matter at an earliest and complete the under construction building soon so that locals won’t be forced to go to other places for minor illnesses.
